How we make money
Kupoki is free. This is how it's funded.
- When you activate cashback on a store and buy, the store pays us a commission through an affiliate network. We give part of it back to you.
- If price comparison shows you the same product cheaper at another store and you tap "View", that store may also pay us a commission.
- The coupons we show you, and their order, never depend on the commission.
- No ads, no selling of data.
Affiliate disclosure
Kupoki takes part in affiliate programs, such as those run by Awin and Tradedoubler. Many stores pay a commission to the sites and apps that bring them customers. When you tap "Activate cashback" on a store, we take you there through the network's link; if you buy, the store pays the commission. This never changes the price you pay.
The percentage you see on each store ("4% cashback") is the share of that commission we give back to you. What's left is what keeps Kupoki free.
We give you 50% of the commission the store pays us. Cashback is being switched on store by store: you'll only see "Activate" on stores where it already works. Your purchase shows up as pending and the store confirms it once its return period ends, usually 30 to 90 days later. From €10 confirmed you can withdraw it by PayPal, bank transfer, Bizum or gift card. No account needed: your wallet lives in your browser. All the details are in the cashback terms.
Price comparison
With "Compare prices" (on by default; you can turn it off in the settings), on a product page we look for that same product at the stores we work with. If one has it cheaper (shipping included), we show it to you. If you tap "View" and buy there, that store pays us a commission; your price doesn't change. We only compare the exact same product, by its barcode or manufacturer reference (or, if the store shows neither, as on Amazon, by brand, model and capacity; then the colour may differ and we say so), and only tell you when it really is cheaper.
Rules we don't break
- Nothing without your click. The extension never opens affiliate links or touches affiliate cookies on its own. Applying a coupon does none of this.
- Only when there's something in it for you. We only offer to activate cashback on stores where we give you money back.
- The order isn't for sale. Coupons are ranked by how much they save you and whether they worked recently. The commission plays no part, and we also show coupons from stores that pay us nothing.
- Sponsorships always labeled. If a store ever pays to be featured, you'll see it marked as sponsored. There are none today.
We respect whoever brought you to the store (stand-down)
If you reach a store thanks to another affiliate (a content creator, a deals site or another program), that commission is theirs. On that visit, Kupoki:
- doesn't offer cashback or open any affiliate link;
- keeps showing you coupons, because they don't affect who gets credit for the purchase.
We detect this when the store's address carries affiliate network click identifiers (for example awc, irclickid, cjevent), the afsrc=1 signal or utm_medium=affiliate, or when you arrive through a network's redirect or another cashback site. Stand-down lasts for the whole browser session on that store, with no exceptions.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data (see privacy).
- We don't insert ads into the sites you visit.
- We don't replace another affiliate's link with ours.
- We don't bid on store brands in search engines.
